20-27 January 2019
Speaker: Steve Wright.
Steve speaks in defence of the great truths of the Christian faith such as The Case for the Creator, The Bible on Trial and the Evidence for the Resurrection.
He also seeks to engage in Life’s Big Questions:
- Do you really believe we came from nothing?
- Where have we come from?
- Why are we here? Why does God allow suffering?
- Where are we going?
You can find a full schedule for each night here.
He seeks to answer some of Life’s Big Questions utilising real life stories of people who on a personal basis have had to think through these issues.
Steve Wright is originally from Leeds and grew up in a family of nine. His father was the late Professor Verna Wright – Professor of Rheumatology at Leeds University. Steve has lived in Ireland for the last 45 years. He lectured in Law at Queen’s University and was called to the Bar in 1978. Until recently he practiced as a Barrister and Senior Public Prosecutor in the Public Prosecution Service, specialising in the prosecution of complex fraud cases.
Steve is an Elder in Newtownbreda Baptist Church. He is also a member of the Gideon’s, Honorary Director of Young Life and an Executive member of United Beach Missions. He is married to Helen and they have three children.
